Dr. Garry Miles

Finally, Dr. Miles is a decorated veteran who served honorably in deployments such as supporting Operations Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom, Freedom's Sentinel, Inherent Resolve, and North Atlantic Treaty Organization's Resolute Support. He has been a senior manager in several large Air Force supply chain organizations, including the Air Force's largest Logistics Readiness Squadron's materiel management operation, the Air Force's largest Expeditionary Theater Distribution Center, and the Air Force Central Command's largest warehouse operation. His expertise, experiences, and willingness to improve operations and people were instrumental in positively orchestrating several humanitarian, mental health, and subsistent support to uniformed military personnel, military veterans, and local community members worldwide.

Supply Chain  & Leadership Experience

Guided global Air Force supply chain operations. Organized, trained, developed, and staffed 200+ member organization which vetted and upheld supply information technology (IT) system access for 18K global users.
Oversaw the data integrity for 38M assets’ identity. Coordinated with directors across 259 worldwide locations to ensure the proper execution of $41B supply chain to eliminate just-in-time purchases. Executed analysis of deployed logistics operation; created a Logistics Assistance Team which increased visibility for 65K parts to be distributed to 96 military Civil Engineering construction projects, saving the unit $13M.
Managed 76-member end of year IT system closeout team; resolved 34K actionable items and restored availability of 274 accounts with a less than 1 hour down time average ultimately saving 2.8K manning hours.

Oversaw 467 supply chain personnel: upheld manning for seven units in three countries to secure storage/distribution of 2M parts worth $110M while sustaining 100% accountability. Project manager for 21-member accountability management team; inventoried 290K parts valued
at $22M in 18 days which was integral to the organization’s 100% compliance during an Air Force audit. Led 108 military and Japanese labor contractor personnel, materiel management team which distributed 66K parts worth $168M which was vital to sustaining 99 aircraft’s 100% mission execution of 7K sorties.
